The Connect settings will allow a tenant administrator to manage the Connect administrators, configure the delivery templates, and take a look at the security logs and the synchronization jobs.
Settings – Administrators
A tenant administrator can create different administrators based on their role within the organization. This can be done under “User management” and then “Settings”.
The three different administrator roles are the following:
- Tenant Administrator:
- Will be able to view and edit all users within the people manager
- Will be able to create and edit group rules
- Will be able to create and edit site groups and sites
- Will be able to manage the people within all sites
- Will be able to move people to all site groups and sites
- Will be able to configure the activation portal
- Will be able to access the settings page
- Site Group Administrator:
- Will be able to view and edit all users in the people manager based on the site group permissions
- Will be able to create and edit sites that are a member of the site group that the administrator is assigned too
- Will be able to manage the people within the sites that are a member of the site group that the administrator is assigned too
- Will be able to access the settings page and manage the site administrators for the site group that the manager is assigned to
- Site Administrator
- Will be able to view and edit all users in the people manager based on the site permissions
- Will be able to manage the people within the sites that are a member of the site that the administrator is assigned too
Administrators – Create New Administrator
When you navigate to the settings page, you will be able to click on the Administrators tab where you can get an overview of all of the administrators.
You can create a new Connect administrator by clicking on the “Create admin” button which will open a separate window.
Administrators – View Administrators
If you want to verify the role of an administrator of a site group or site, you can click on the “…” button next to the administrator and select the “View” menu item.
Administrators – Edit Administrators
When you want to edit an administrator, you can click on the “…” button next to the administrator and select the “Edit” menu item. You’ll be able to change all of the values that are assigned to this administrator. Once you click on the “Edit” button, the changes will be applied to this administrator.
